As part of the Airtel Xstream Fibre plan, the Sunil Mittal-owned telecom operator is offering data as well as calling benefits. Moreover, it also comes bundled with OTT subscriptions. The calling benefits include unlimited landline calls to any network in India. Buyers of this plan will also get an Android-based OTT smart stick paired with an Android-based 4K Hybrid Smart Box to cumulate satellite TV and OTT content. The telco offers 3,333GB data at 1Gbps speed per month and after the limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 1Mbps.
This plan is already live for homes, Small Office/ Home Office (SOHO) and small commercial establishments in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Airtel has announced that over the coming months Airtel Xstream Fibre will be rolled out in more markets.
In competition, Reliance Jio’s Platinum broadband plan offers 1Gbps speed up to 2.5GB per month. After the FUP limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 1Mbps for the remaining period of the month. This plan includes free voice calling from complementary land-line phone to all networks in India, cloud gaming and premium content offerings like Jio First Day First Show movies.
